Space Weekend - A Review of UK Space Activities

After the success of the inaugural event held in Brighton 2004, the
Society is organising another weekend to review UK space activities.
In Brighton there were papers presented by 23 different organisations
including 10 Universities, the exhibition included representation from
The aim of the weekend is for UK University groups, companies and
research establishments to present their work to encourage collaboration
and co-operation; to facilitate extensive and productive discussions on
all aspects of UK space activities.
Proposed topics to be covered will include:
* Small satellites
* Remote sensing technology
* Communications spacecraft
* Space medicine and biology
* Ground segment activities
* Applications of software
* Scientific instrumentation and achievements
* Fundamental research and development
* Mission analysis
Offers of papers for these various sessions are invited. They should be
of about 30 minutes length, including 5 minutes for discussion. If
possible, printed versions are requested for subsequent publication in a
special edition of the Society's Journal/Space Chronicle; appropriate
instructions as to format will be supplied as necessary.
